Get Jack'd Up on Fruit, a Facial + Other Healthy Recipes!
BEHOLD THE JACKFRUIT
Jackfruit is the fruit at the center of my attention. Not only is the experience of eating it amazing but the process of buying and opening the largest tree fruit is incredible. It' a large purchase. The two I bought were 35-45 lbs each.
A sharp cutting knife will do it but you MUST oil your hands and knife before operating. There is a sticky gummy glue on the inside that can make cutting and peeling difficult. The texture is soft as you pull pods from the rows of long chambers in the fruit. Saving the cotton-ball sized seeds inside is a good idea - the health benefits are great.
The process of attaining all the goodness can take nearly 2 hours for just one person. So call the friends over for a gathering. A little to share at the end is likely as the fruit can produce around 70 pods.

JACK'D UP SMOOTHIE BOWL
(Fruit) 1/2 cup of each Sambazon Acai, Organic frozen Mango, and frozen Jackfruit. 1/2 a banana. Squeeze of limon(Liquids) 1 cup of Non GMO Coconut Water
**Blend for 30 seconds.
(Toppings) 1/2 cup chopped Jackfruit, 1/2 sliced banana, 1 tbsp Organic Cacao nibs, and dashes of cinnamon.

Boil the seeds, grind and mix with milk and honey.
Allow to fully dry and then wash off.

- WILD CHILD SALAD -
This salad is delicious and fun to prepare.
4 strands raw dill - picked & torn into small pieces
4 cups arugula - separated
1.5 cups raw parsley - picked & torn into small pieces
(oil with oil of your choice & add 1/2 tsp of Pink Himalayan Salt)
2 cups pre-cooked beet - sliced small
2 cups fresh strawberries - sliced small
(add with greens)
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
1 tbsp organic raw honey
(bring to boil & simmer for 10 minutes)
(let cool & dress salad)
